Historical weapon and armour exhibition
A truly interactive form of introducing people into the world of medieval times. This includes the exhibition of our late medieval equipment on an event for some hours or even days. The members of our association can give a detailed description of all items which can be tried out and on. Our stands are already unique on their own as they are created to be like items show in a museum exhibit, but as these items are replicas, the wearing of these equipment can be really entertaining and unique.
It is possible to rent this kind of exhibition for more days. In these cases, we create a display of our equipment for which a guide is also provided, who regularly guides through the audience on prenegotiated days, gives detailed explanations and helps in the trying on of the equipment.
Medieval archery
We provide a medieval style experience for both children and adults in which they can try out archery with different kinds of medieval-like bows and traditional composite bows more well known in the country. These events are supervised and supported by our association members.
Custom programmes for educational facilities and camps
For children in schools, kindergartens and children’s camps we provide a custom-made programme made up based on our programmes presented on our website. We always try to tailor these on the basis of the audience’s needs always making sure to remain informative, professional and entertaining at the same time.
On these events our motto is „learning by experience” which means we provide practical education for children: they can take fencing classes with wooden swords, learn archery, and get other kinds of knowledge with fun and interactive tasks. These events are aided by our members working pedagogy and child support, with years of experience behind them.
Interactive presentations of medieval
Our weapons, armour and dresses displayed are presented by a narrator in a 25-30 minutes long presentation. The ranged weapons can be observed in action by the audience and after the presentation people can try out the displayed items.
We can provide archery and fencing classes with wooden weaponry. All weapons made of metal can only be taken into had for safety purposes.
Ranged weaponry display
Our cannons and handguns are showcased by our narrator, with comparisons made with the ranged weapons used in the earlier periods of medieval times. In addition to our 15-20 minutes presentation of these weapons their use is also demonstrated in practice.
Melee duels
In this kind of performance, we get dressed into the attire of the XV. century knights and hold a series of duels narrated by our herald. The audience will be able to observe the weaponry and armour used by the late medieval soldiers in action. The duels are not choreographed, completely unique for each occasion, making them very realistic.
Interactive presentation and professional showcase: Late-Medieval art and clothing
In this 25-minute-long presentation the audience will be introduced into the customs and culture of the late-medieval nobility of the Hungarian Kingdom. The fashion, customs and popular pastimes of the nobility are all covered by the show. If requested, Medieval gastronomy is also represented as a part of the demonstration.
The presentation ends with our association’s courtiers, in which the audience have the opportunity to listen to the harp play of Lady Zsófia, accompanied by the other ladies’ dance, and the fencing demonstration of our young nobles.
Reenactment Camp
In these events our association sets up a camp in which all furniture and utilities made out of material and blueprints used in the Late-Medieval times, that creates an authentic and visually appealing environment. This itself provides a unique programme as our association members are actively participating in the recreation of the environment by being dressed up in appropriate apparel, and doing activities that fills the place with the mood of the late-medieval times, like cooking, playing games and instruments of the times and training.
This way our visitors can get a glimpse into the life of people of the late-medieval times, accompanied by a guided tour led by our helpful association members who introduces the people visiting us to the life, customs, warfare and other segments of the people of the time.
In the case of a multi-day event, this camp also serves as the accommodation of our association members.
Medieval kitchen, live cooking and gastronomy presentation
Fried meats coated in honey, seasoned with saffron and nutmeg on a bed of quail eggs, roasted mutton served with wine sauce, baked pies and other delicacies…
Our kitchen serves a variety of delicious foods made according to medieval recipes and with the help of kitchen utensils used at that period for all who wish to see it. Based on the recipe, the cooking process can take up 4-5 hours that is accompanied by a 20 minutes long gastronomy presentation. All food is of course made in an attire and served in plates appropriate for medieval times.
Interactive plays
20-45 minutes long performance constructed around the profile of the event. The programme, design elements, and the decoration used in the performance are always made in accordance with the event supervisor for the performance to become as part of the event’s profile as possible.
In these performances our association members present a short, exciting and sometimes comical show including dancing, music and duels. All of the performances are narrated by our herald with additional information about the late medieval times.
The plays are all made up stories, with little or no historical basis, but they are all held in attire and tools authentic to the medieval times.
Event organisation
Our association can provide support for events that are held in association with multiple reenactment groups. The association has 15 years of experience in organisation of reenactment events and are in contact with many of the reenactment groups, cultural associations and music bands representing the medieval eras, both inside and outside of Hungary.
Festival-scale event organisation
Our association is experienced in the organisation and execution of events involving multiple reenactment associations. If required, we are able to organise events with the involvement of 8-10 reenactment groups. In such case all reenactment groups come with their own unique performances and programmes, including a 1 hour long joint performance closed with a grandiose battle scene.
Our performance debuted in the „XX. Medieval Bustle” of Diósgyőr in 2019.
